Responsibilities of the Senior Associate Director of Financial Aid

 

General Provisions Relating to Student Assistance Programs
(Program Participation Agreements)

Accountability and reporting requirements for institutions participating in financial aid programs for students are set forth at 20 U.S.C. § 1094. See The Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008 for new reporting and accountability requirements. 34 CFR 668.14 Program Participation Agreement
(a)(1) An institution may participate in any Title IV, HEA program, other than the LEAP and NEISP programs, only if the institution enters into a written program participation agreement with the Secretary, on a form approved by the Secretary. A program participation agreement conditions the initial and continued participation of an eligible institution in any Title IV, HEA program upon compliance with the provisions of this part, the individual program regulations, and any additional conditions specified in the program participation agreement that the Secretary requires the institution to meet.

Fiscal Operations Report and The Application to Participate (FISAP)

All schools that wish to  request funding under the campus-based programs for the upcoming year, and all schools that had campus-based expenditures for the past school are required to electronically submit a FISAP via the eCB Web site by October 1st of each year. In addition, a hard copy of the combined certifcation and signature pages for the FISAP must be submitted.

 

The Senior Associate Director of Financial Aid is responsible for submitting the FISAP and signature pages annually.
