General Revision of the Copyright law
Summary: The copyright law gives copyright owners the sole right to reproduce all or part of the work, distribute copies, prepare new (derivative) versions of the work, and perform and display the work publicly. Copyright protection governs "original works of authorship fixed in any tangible medium of expression." 17 U.S.C. § 102(a). The law protects unpublished as well as published material.

Responsibilities

The Assistant to the Dean is responsible for ensuring the annual May request for the # of FTE students is filled out and mailed back to SESAC. The Assistant to the Dean is also responsible for ensuring that the bill sent out by SESAC in December of each year is paid.

The CUA account number for SESAC is 08-08-00030. The SESAC web page log in requires the account number along with the ID # that is on the invoice.

Note that the Sound Exchange, BMI and ASCAP licensing payments are handled by the Program Coordinator of Campus Activities.
